About CONNECT
The Conservation Network for Local Community in Tanzania (CONNECT) is a community-centered organization dedicated to strengthening the roles and rights of local communities — particularly women, youth, and people with disabilities (PWDs) — in the sustainable management of natural resources.
CONNECT works to ensure that communities can access, use, and benefit from natural resources in ways that sustain their livelihoods while conserving biodiversity. By empowering local communities as primary stewards of their environment, CONNECT contributes to long-term conservation outcomes that benefit both people and nature.
