Tanzania holds an iconic global wildlife heritage. At CONNECT, we work diligently alongside national park rangers, community scouts, and village authorities to build practical frameworks that safeguard vulnerable animals—including elephants, lions, giraffes, and cheetahs.

We actively recognize that human-wildlife conflict (HWC) is one of the most severe threats to both farming families and animal populations. Because of this, we build sustainable, smart coexistence models that protect livestock and crop farms from destruction, transforming wildlife from an active local threat into an asset for community progress.

Key Focus Areas

• Training and equipping dedicated community wildlife scouts for efficient tracking and local anti-poaching support.
• Implementing non-violent mitigation tools (such as chili fences and beehive barriers) to steer elephants safely away from agricultural farms.
• Providing comprehensive educational workshops to minimize risks and ensure peaceful human-wildlife coexistence.
